Description

USB memory pens have become the default way to carry and transfer data, but until now it has been impossible to connect them to mobile phones and PDAs. Elan's Mobidapter enables connection via an SD slot so that you can transfer your files anywhere - without a PC!
The Mobidapter is a USB memory stick reader which plugs directly into the SD memory slot on mobile/cell phones, smart phones and PDAs.
This means it is now possible to transfer data such as pictures, MP3 files, Microsoft Office applications, or in fact any type of file from a standard USB memory pen to a mobile device, and vice versa. No PC is needed for the process and no driver software is needed. The device is compatible with virtually all of the latest phones with an external SD memory slot and standard USB memory pens.
In addition, physical connection to the host device avoids problems with wireless connection stability and data security.
Power is provided from the host device so no batteries are needed.
With its overall size at just 1.38 x 2.95 x 0.4 inches and a weight of just one ounce the device is ideal for travelling light, and effectively eliminates the need for carrying a PC around.
